Arctic Dog Sledding
25/01/2009
Forget New Year’s resolutions – this trip will have you leaping into 2009 with all the enthusiasm you need to jump start a fantastic year!
Join Capability Scotland in this captivating trip into the wilds of the Arctic Circle. Travelling approximately 200km over 6 days, crossing through forested areas and into spectacular open planes of snow, you will go right back to basics re-learning the simple truths of life. Our small group of up to 13 adventurers will each have their own sled, pulled by 4-6 huskies.
This expedition is tough and you will need to train in readiness for travelling over what is sometimes tough terrain. The dogs will be your dogs for six days and you will look after their welfare throughout.
Our trip will take place from 25th – 31st January. At this time of year there is an extremely strong chance that you will get to experience the breathtaking Northern Lights!
We will support you in your fundraising and are asking that you raise £3500 to take part in this trip.
An Across the Divide expedition leader, supported by an experienced expedition doctor and a local guide, will head up the expedition.
