Adult Respite/Short Breaks

Capability Scotland provides short break/respite packages which allow disabled adults and their families and/or carers to take a planned break from each other.

The respite/short breaks service covers three main areas:

  • Residential Respite - we offer respite breaks in our residential services.  Service users can enjoy a wide range of activities as well as receiving professional support from our staff.
  • Respite in the service user's home - This can range from a couple of hours a day to 24 hour support with sleepovers for several days.  This can take the form of support with daily tasks including personal care or housework and assistance to take part in activities in the local community.
  • Holidays - we can support people to access mainstream holiday provision or to stay in adapted holiday accommodation such as our chalet in Dalraddy Holiday Park, Aviemore

We offer the following respite/short break services for adults:

  • Community Living Service West, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire
  • Community Living Service East, Perth, Fife, Lothians
  • Community Living Service North, Dundee, Angus, Aberdeen
  • Upper Springland, Perth
