ASCS - Advice Service Capability
Scotland ASCS is a national disability information and advice service. We provide free, confidential advice and information on adult and child disability issues, including:
- Accessible holidays
- Capability Scotland services
- Community care services
- Equipment
- Finance
- Mobility and transport
- Short breaks/Respite
- Sports and leisure activities
We provide information on adult and child disability in Scotland, specialising in cerebral palsy. We have produced a series of factsheets on different therapies and other aspects of living with cerebral palsy. We also hold a lot of resources on cerebral palsy in our library.
Library
ASCS library holds more than 3,500 books, videos and audio-cassettes on disability-related subjects, including cerebral palsy. These are available to borrow at any time.
Who can use our service
Anyone with an interest in a disability issue can use our service. People who benefit from our service include disabled people, parents, carers and family members, professionals, and other organisations.
How to contact us
You can contact us by phone, fax, textphone, letter, email, or by visiting our offices. We are open for enquiries from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. An answer machine is available outside office hours.
