Capability Scotland aims to make a real difference to the lives of disabled children and adults throughout Scotland. From the moment a baby or child is diagnosed with a disability, we are on hand to provide support for the child and their family.

Capability Scotland has been at the forefront of developing and providing services for disabled children and adults in Scotland since 1946. In that time, we’ve seen massive progress in technology and gradual change in attitudes to disability. This has led to huge achievements in the care and support of thousands of disabled people over the years.

Much of this would not have been possible without the help of many of our supporters who were thoughtful enough to remember Capability Scotland in their will. Almost half of the income from individual supporters comes from legacies.

Disability is not going away and Capability Scotland’s services will continue to be needed more than ever. With your help we can look to the future with confidence.
