Brian becomes an STV News star!

Brian White, a user of Capability Scotland's services in North Lanarkshire, spoke last night on STV News about his experience of Self Directed Support.

This new way of providing local authority funded care allows disabled people to pick and choose the level and type of support they want, within the funding available to them.

Brian White, who uses Wishaw Supported Living Service, spoke about the freedom of being able to make decisions about his level of care and his great experience of Capability Scotland's services. The Scottish Parliament Health and Sport Committee has been taking evidence about the new Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Bill which culminated in evidence being given by service users yesterday.
