Capability Scotland's Saltcoats shop writes Christmas wish list

14 December 2011

Prams, buggies, pushchairs, nursery equipment, small furniture and electrical goods. these are just some of the items on the Christmas wish list of a local charity shop.

Capability Scotland's Saltcoats shop on 74 Dockhead Street is appealing to local people to support disabled adults and children in Scotland by donating their unwanted goods to the shop.

Shop Manager, Jean Clark, said: "Christmas is a great time of year to have a clearout. Lots of us have things we don't use or need anymore gathering dust in our lofts and garages.  By giving them to Capability, you will not only be getting the space back in your home, you will also be making a difference to the lives of disabled people across the country.

"We are particularly interested in prams and buggies and other nursery equipment as well as small furniture and electrical goods.  If anyone has any equipment they would like to donate they should drop it into the shop at 74 Dockhead Street, Saltcoats."
