Elderslie footie fans score visit to Premier League Trophy

24 January 2012

Football fans from Capability Scotland's Wallace Court service in Elderslie, Renfrewshire scored a closer look at the English Premier League trophy in January.

The Capability team were invited to go and visit the trophy when it was on display at Barclay's Processing Centre in Glasgow.

Premier League sponsor, Barclays, has established strong links with Capability Scotland. The Processing Centre entered a team in Capability's Bowmore Ben Nevis challenge which took place in August last year and saw disabled and non disabled people working together in teams to conquer Britain's highest peak.

Billy Davidson was one of the Capability group who went to visit the trophy.  He said it was the 'chance of a lifetime' while Mark Meighan said it had been a 'very exciting day.' Wallace Court Manager, Jan Whitelaw, said: "It was a fabulous day out and everyone was made to feel very welcome by Barclays."
