City walk brings Christmas to Dundee Community Hub

6 December 2017

Our Dundee service which supports disabled children and adults has benefited to the tune of £2085 from this year's Kiltwalk.

A team of staff, service users and supporters from Capability Scotland Dundee took part in the city's charitable Kiltwalk, trekking 100 miles between them and securing a four-figure sponsorship amount, when all donations were totalled.

This was boosted by a contribution of more than £500 from The Hunter Foundation and the cash will be used to fund the service's Christmas celebrations for its group of more than 80 service users.

Gillian Dunlop, our Service Manager in Dundee, said: "We had a fantastic day taking part in the walk and are grateful for the backing we received from our community here in Dundee and from The Hunter Foundation.

"These funds will support our annual Christmas celebration, which is a real highlight of the year for customers and staff alike. You could say the Kiltwalk has brought Christmas to Capability Scotland Dundee."
