Our Employment Services really are working
20 December 2016
For the last year Capability Scotland's Employment Services have
been monitoring our effectiveness using the ERS (Employment
Readiness ScaleTM) under the sponsorship of Fife Council.
We were measured against a number of key criteria and the
results were really positive. For example, 58% of customers showed
improvement in self-efficacy (confidence to perform well). Other
areas showing improvement included:
- Outcome Expectancy, or a willingness to take responsibility to
create one's own success (particularly for 30-45 year olds)
- Job Maintenance, or the ability to work well with others
- Developing social support networks, particularly for male
- Upgrading skills and/or education to match the current
The improvements in our customers' readiness for employment
matched or exceeded the average improvement across Fife.
Ian Bruce, Operations Manager, says:
"We are delighted with these results. As part of our commitment
to providing excellent service, we will use the ERS data to
continue what is working well and to improve where needed".
