TAM Ethical Dream Team Cycle to Paris

28 May 2015

An eleven strong team of enthusiastic TAM Ethical employees donned their cycling gear earlier this month to cycle from London to Paris - no easy feat! 3 days and 300 miles later they arrived at the foot of the Eiffel Tower slightly sore but with rather large smiles - and of course some champagne to celebrate!

The journey was even more impressive when you take into account that the team were not professional cyclists and had never ridden as a team before. So far just over £7,400 has been raised for a range of charities across the UK, of which Capability Scotland is one.

Christian Holland, Head of UK Investment Management, who took part in the challenge said: "This was the first time that a group of us had undertaken anything like this and I was impressed by those for whom it was a completely new experience.  I found all of it very exciting and, whilst it was challenging at times, I thoroughly enjoyed the team spirit and enthusiasm among everyone involved in raising money for the charities we support. "

Margaret Clift-McNulty, Head of Fundraising said: "It really is an amazing achievement, well done to all the team and what a fantastic fundraising effort. The money raised will help Capability Scotland be here for disabled people across Scotland, like Jamie one of the children who accesses our Childcare 4 All service in Edinburgh."

TAM Ethical offers the unique 'You Give We Give' scheme which gives investors the opportunity to make a positive impact on society by opting to donate a percentage of their annual portfolio gain to charity. In an innovative move, TAM will donate an equal percentage from their annual fees to the same charity. To find out more click here.
