Education, early years and childcare

Capability has earned a reputation for providing the very best support to Scotland's children with the most complex health, care and learning needs, from the start of their lives. Whether you need advice, the opportunity to meet up with other parents, some respite or more specialist placements we could have the expertise to help.

In our Early Years Services we deliver direct support to families of very young children to help you to understand how your child is developing and to give you the opportunity to meet other parents. Just as importantly we provide an opportunity for your child to meet other children, to play together and to have fun. We work in our own settings or in your home and we can provide that bit extra that you and other supporting agencies may need to ensure your child is fully and safely included.

In our Education Services we provide two residential special schools which are nationally renowned for their work. We offer assessment, short term placement, shared placements with your local mainstream schools and if required 52 week residential placements.

In our Respite, Short Breaks and Holiday Activities we offer a range of after school and holiday clubs which vary in focus from simply having fun to a more developmental programme.

All of our services for children and families are delivered by experts who are well trained to understand your child's health care needs and also your own needs as a parent/ carer.
