About Our Service

Community Living Services South and West support adults with various disabilities and support needs. Each care package is unique and designed to meet the specific needs and desires of each customer. There is the potential for service expansion in the future.

Our work is to offer support to people to live happy, fulfilled and successful lives and this involves giving help with whatever is required to achieve this. We offer a range of support including practical, personal and emotional support to meet a variety of needs.

We are currently recruiting three Community Living Assistants to provide 2 to 1 support to a young adult female with complex health needs. Assistants will support the customer with tasks associated with day-to-day living within her family home in the East end of Glasgow.

You will be required to provide personal care (including intimate care) and support the customer with aspects of general welfare and manual-handling. Administering medication may be required and training will be provided.

This role requires home and community support between 10.30am and 8.30pm. While this role is for 20 hours a week this is negotiable for the right candidate.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role and environment is desirable
  • Willingness to undertake any personal development opportunities.
  • A care related SVQ Level 2/3 (or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Full Driving Licence is desirable though not essential* (we will consider alternative arrangements that achieve the same outcomes for candidates that have a disability that prevents them from having a driving licence)
  • Able and willing to work flexible shifts including nightshifts and weekends
