Service Details

Our Riccarton Hub offers positive experiences and flexibility to individuals with disabilities and complex health needs. We promote wellbeing, through therapeutic and sensory experiences whilst supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living.  The hub provides meaningful activities such as rebound therapy, cooking and baking, as well as sensory-based sessions, and activities within the local communities .

Do you want to make a real difference to people's lives?

We are looking for Community Living Assistants to support our customers, during the day, currently between Monday and Friday.

As well as planning, supporting and leading activities, you will also provide personal and intimate care, mealtime assistance, medication administration and other medical health requirements.

The role involves a large degree of physical activity, which includes supporting individuals to move in their wheelchairs, postural management and repositioning support. Full training and support is provided.

We will also support you through your SVQ 3 qualification when it is time to register with the SSSC.

Desirable qualities of the role, however not a requirement

  • Experience and knowledge of working in a similar role
  • Willingness to undertake personal development opportunities
  • A care related SVQ Level 3 or willingness to complete this
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Full Driving Licence
