About our service

Junction 52 will be the contracting service for this role however the successful will be expected to work within other local services, particularly Whitehaugh Centre and West Lane Gardens initially. This will be discussed further at interview.

Junction 52, Whitehaugh Centre and West Lane Gardens are based in local community centres. We support a number of customers on a daily basis to ensure that all health and emotional needs are met. We offer a wide range of therapeutic, educational, social and recreational activities within, and out with a centre base.  Our main focus is on delivering a highly personal service maintaining high standards at all times, to ensure the safety of our customers and assist in achieving personal and collective goals.

The role will also involve health related practices including administration of medication as and when required. This role involves you being able and willing to work flexible shifts which may include weekends.

As travel may be required, a full driving licence is desirable. Capability Scotland is willing to consider alternative arrangements that achieve the same outcomes for those candidates that have a disability which prevents them from having a driving licence.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role and environment
  • Willingness to undertake any personal development opportunities.
  • A care related SVQ Level 3 (or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
