About Our Service

Wallace Court is a residential and respite service in Elderslie, Johnstone, providing 24 hour support 7 days a week, to customers aged between 18 and 65 with physical and learning disabilities.

Do you want to make a real difference to people's lives?

We are currently recruiting for a support worker to work as part of a team providing a safe, caring environment for customers with disabilities.  You will also provide personal care (including intimate care), and support service users with aspects of their general welfare. You will also be required to undertake a key-working role and assist the Team Leader to maximise customer outcomes. The role will involve health related practices including mealtime assistance, gastrostomy feeding, administration of medication as and when required and lone working.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role and environment
  • Willingness to undertake any personal development opportunities.
  • A care related SVQ Level 3 (or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Full Driving Licence* (we will consider alternative arrangements that achieve the same outcomes for candidates that have a disability that prevents them from having a driving licence)
  • Able and willing to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, nightshifts and sleepovers.
