About our Service

Corseford Short Breaks is an exciting service in Renfrewshire which provides short breaks, afterschool club, weekend and school holiday provisions for children and young people with complex additional support and exceptional health care needs.

The service provides play and activity opportunities and different leisure experiences for children and young people from across Renfrewshire and further afield.

We are currently looking to recruit an energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated Team Leader to support our Service Manager to provide a safe, caring environment for everyone.

A key part of this role is to coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skills of the staff; you will do this by displaying leadership skills such as role modelling, decision making, being an effective communicator, having a positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role. You will supervise a team of support workers to ensure that a high standard of social care practice and person-centred approach prevails throughout the service.

You will play a key role in supporting staff, service users, cares and families to deliver personalised services, you will be required to maximise customer outcomes as well as promote community presence. This may mean flexibility in terms of location, focus, and deployment, including the willingness to work flexible shifts.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role and environment
  • A desire for self-improvement and a willingness to undertake any personal development opportunities.
  • A care related SVQ Level 4 (or the willingness to gain this qualification).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Ability to plan for customers, for your staff and for your service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able and willing to work flexible shifts
