Fair Work Framework

5 June 2018

Capability Scotland signs up to the Fair Work Framework

In order to demonstrate our commitment to delivering the best working environment for our staff,  Capability Scotland has, with support from our five union partners (Unison, Unite, Royal College of Nursing, Educational Institute of Scotland and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists), signed up to the Fair Work Framework.

The Fair Work Framework defines fair work through the five dimensions of Effective Voice, Opportunity, Security, Fulfilment, and Respect. It is recognised that as well as being the right thing to do, fair work can deliver significant benefits, particularly in relation to motivation, innovation, productivity and health and wellbeing.

Dana O'Dwyer, Chief Executive, said "Our staff consistently deliver exceptional support to those who need it most and it is our responsibility to ensure we do the same for them. The Fair Work Framework aspires to create a world-leading working life for the people of Scotland and Capability Scotland's staff deserve nothing less".
