The Scent of Success at Stanmore's End of Term Service

23 June 2017

Capability Scotland's Stanmore House School recently held their annual End of Term service - a showcase for everyone's hard work over the last academic year and a time for celebration and reflection.

Michelle Skinner, Principal Teacher, reports:

"We had a wonderful day on the 20th June. Not only did we get the opportunity to showcase our 'celebration of success' to all our friends and family but we also celebrated with two of our pupils who are graduating from Primary to Secondary. Clare and Callum absolutely loved their graduation hats and scrolls!

Throughout the service we got a small insight into all the hard work and of course, the fun that all our pupils have had over the last few sessions.

We celebrated by giving out our academic achievement certificates through ASDAN, and the senior phase class made everyone a summer 'goodie bag' which smelt delicious, thanks to LUSH, who donated soaps and bath bombs for all pupils, plus a few extra that I am sure pupils will enjoy experimenting with in the new term.

The Primary class received the 'Stanmore House School Sports Cup' after winning sports day overall. They were absolutely delighted and have promised to take good care of it until next year. What a competitive bunch we have!

We also bid a 'see you later' (never a goodbye!) to two of our Senior Phase pupils, Gabriel and Hannah. We will all miss them in the new term but we wish them both the very best of luck in their new adventures and we are sure we will see them again soon.

So, after a very, very successful academic year we are ready for our summer holidays. We'll be back in August- ready to start all over again!"
