About the Role

Capability North Lanarkshire is a registered Care at Home Service which combines intensive support service and a Community enablement service. It is a flexible and customer-led service which enables people to live as independently as possible as well as providing support to access their community.

We are looking for a Care & Support Manager to join the management team at North Lanarkshire Services. You will work within the team to ensure the effective delivery of all aspects of the service and support the Service Manager in the day to day operation of the service. You will also be responsible for overseeing service delivery in the absence of the Service Manager.

You will provide management support and direction to Team Leaders and staff in the delivery of Care and Support to our customers. You will be required to identify, quantify and direct customer requirements through individualised budgets and costed support plans, as well as managing service budgetary and financial controls.

You will provide practical support and advise in a number of areas such as managing complex health care needs, personal care, managing a tenancy, independent living skills etc.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role and environment is desirable
  • A care related SVQ Level 4 or equivalent
  • Working knowledge and application of legal, regulatory and policy requirements relating to the social care setting
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience of managing people in a social care environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
