About Fife Supported Living Services

Fife Supported Living Services supports individuals across Fife and Perth with all aspects of their daily living. The successful applicant will be supporting a young lady in Perth to live independently in her own home.

It is an exciting time for us as we explore ways to develop our relationships with our people and we are looking for staff to be part of the team. This may mean flexibility in terms of location, focus, and deployment, including the willingness to work flexible shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, or overnight.

Why work for Capability Scotland?

Our staff have said they not only like their work but have fun doing it - they work closely with our service users to support and enable people to take part in meaningful activities like arts, sports, crafts, digital work, as well as assisting them with daily life in and around the community, including personal care and support for their general welfare.

Capability Scotland will support you through your SVQ 3 qualifications and support and encourage you through this study period - a nationally recognised qualification that is yours for life.

You'll also assist our customers with some physical work, including pushing wheelchairs or helping them move around when needed. As well as a generous annual leave entitlement, we're also paying £9.10 an hour plus fully paid training, and colleagues who enjoy being at their work, what have you got to lose?

What we're looking for

  • We prefer passion over experience, new ideas over years of service.
  • The ability to enable others to be as independent as possible, to assist with things rather than do it for them.
  • desire for self-improvement and willing to develop your skills with our help
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • A driving licence
  • Able and willing to work flexible shifts, which we are happy to discuss for mutual agreement.

We welcome applications from female candidates only. It is an occupational requirement that the post holder is female in order to respect the privacy and dignity of the service users we support.

Why work for Capability Scotland?

  • Rewarding Career Choice
  • Competitive Salary - £9.10 per hour
  • Sleepovers paid at £8.75 per hour (minimum of £70.00 per sleepover)
  • 32 Days Annual Leave (increasing to 37 days with service)
  • Extensive Training provided
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme
  • Death in service benefits
  • Free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Professional Development and support for SVQ
  • Access to credit union
